Portal 2 Switch has a huge, scary, ugly flaw. It’s not enough. 14 hours of the single-player campaign and “coop” fly instantly, like a summer dream. The hand just reaches for “New Game” to play the game again, enjoying clever puzzles and razor-sharp replicas of the heroes. But you can’t enter the same river twice – the devil’s memory tenaciously holds every task. It remains to listen to the divine aria from the final video and hope for early amnesia. Or the release of the DLC – whichever comes faster.
Portal 2 is a one-time game. But what a! Having honed the nibs and logic on the first part, Valve has released an exemplary sequel, which is almost impossible to find fault with. The locations are larger and more diverse, the graphics are more technical, and the storytelling is deeper. The core of the basics is still a cannon that creates two interconnected portals, however, the mechanics have become much more complex.
Portal 2 Switch is a successful continuation of the original, inferior to it in the complexity of puzzles and the use of physics, but offers something more in return – a cooperative game for two people. The excellent storyline and humor of the project break down too monotonous mechanics, fillers, lack of multiple solutions, restriction of freedom, little use of physics, and protracted gameplay. Portal 2 for Switch may be an absolute masterpiece for all the fans of this genre, but not only. Download it now and enjoy!
